First, descend,
then rise to the sky if you wish,
as you aim for the stars,
but first, aim low.
Viser bas, go so low and find your humility
and never asks to be taken off the list,
just delete me, your majesty.
Be Chaucer’s knight, meek as a maid,
focused inward,
simply dressed,
gentle and kind.
A humble one subscribes
and accepts humiliation with cheer, dear,
and owns what they lack
by covering old wounds in words.
Recall the Divine One aimed too high, never blocking his critics,
and fell far.
Aim low, not for the stars who fury at those who aspire.
Have faith; humility heals.
