Heck of a stretch
An editorial, reading time: 60 seconds
Heck, we all stretch
in the morning poses,
and the evening ones, too.
Palters are no lies and lies
no palter, Walter,
who never lies,
or palters.
Lawyers with liens do it,
Some lean left and right, too,
driven by fear of their secrets’ unmasked.
Every lie has its box canyon,
where lies accrue,
they become so hard to recall.
Remember Louis:
Light disinfects.
Remember Howard:
wait, the cover-up is better
then the lie.
Ravens in robes never forget,
Never forget,
who lies to them,
seeing through stonewalls.
Lying to a raven in robes,
palters to Walter,
stretches the heck
of your neck.
Not all Ravens wear black
who let you lie.
