Einstein erred, writing Franklin about getting the bomb first.
The best partner is the person you most like to have lunch with, who can sit without conversing.
Then, when you do decide to chat, she will be happy to hear from you and you from her.
Einstein skipped that lunch convinced his annus mirabilis,
was just the kick-off for man’s future, not knowing that 10,900 nautical miles above our heads, 31 satellites in orbit
tell us our positions linked to his General Relativity and the correct time
despite their velocity’s loss of tiny moments.
Al knew our heads age faster than our feet, tiny moments planted on Earth,
but their dilation gets you lost on Maps.
What would happen if we got lost? Just a little? And no coherent light, too?
What do we do without Al’s scanners at the supermarket?
Less time to chat with the auburn art across the table, smelling of the lavender
and jasmine soaps from the Land of Cedars.
It pays to get lost, just a little, and lose time with the right person.
She will not mind if you are early or late,
if she is the right one, not as long as she’s right, just heard louder and longer
with or without the gifts of relativity.
Einstein erred twice.
